What is Apostille attestation?


Apostille is a type of certificate in which documents / certificates are authenticated in a specific format applicable to all nations belonging to the Hague Convention. The Hague Convention or the Apostille Hague Convention was signed on October 5, 1961. Nonetheless, it only took effect as of January 14, 1965. The agreement was introduced to wipe out the need for document legalization and make the countries more convenient. The Apostille is attached to your document to verify its authenticity and it will be accepted in one of the other countries who are members of The Hague Apostille Convention.An Apostille may take the form of a stamp on the certificate or it may be attached to the certificate. Apostille stamp is a square-shaped sticker stamp that is computer-generated and attached to the MEA, Government of India, certificate opposite. It has a distinct ID number, which can authenticate its validity electronically by any affiliate nation of the Hague convention.

Information Apostille  is necessary while traveling abroad to obtain employment visa or work visa, applying for temporary or permanent residency, or undertaking student visa studies, for business expansion, the need for information legalization. For the countries that are part of the Hague Convention this specification is mandatory.
Apostille is valid in 117 Convention member countries. The Apostille confirms the validity of the text to foreign countries. And only the member-countries of the Convention accepts this document. The Apostille Convention needs all Apostille be numbered sequentially, with individual numbers applied to each Apostille expressed. The accepted Apostille contains a seal and 10 mandatory references:
·         name of the country from which the document originated
·         name of individual signing the document
·         the scope in which the person signing the document has acted
·         in case of unsigned documents
·         the name of the authority that has appended the seal or stamp
·         place of certification, date of certification
·         the authority issuing the certificate
·         number of certificate
·         seal or stamp of authority declaring certificate
·         signature of authority declaring certificate.
Apostille is done for personal documents like birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, divorce certificates, etc. and educational documents like degree, diploma, SSLC and HSC level certificates, etc. Any document Apostatized in one-member country is acceptable in all other 117 member-countries.
